Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out a major crackdown on Friday in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, targeting suspected terror associates.
According to reports by Kashmir Bulletin, police teams searched the homes of more than a dozen people believed to have links with recent terror-related cases. These searches were part of an ongoing investigation into militant activities in the area.

An official said the goal of the operation is to find any connections between these individuals and active militants or other illegal actions.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in north Kashmir, Handwara Police searched the house of a person linked to the banned group Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).
Police officials confirmed that all the searches were done legally and are part of multiple active investigations.
