Hot, Dry Weather Expected in J&K; Public Advised to Stay Hydrated

Srinagar: The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir for the coming days, with possible heatwave conditions in parts of the Jammu division.

According to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of the Meteorological Department, people should follow all safety advisories and take precautions, especially during the hottest part of the day.

“Hot and dry weather is expected across J&K,” he told News Agency. “Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids and avoid working outdoors between 12 pm and 3 pm.”

Weather Forecast Breakdown:

  • April 26: Generally dry, with a chance of light rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the afternoon.

  • April 27 to April 30: Mostly dry across the region.

  • May 1: Continued dry weather expected.

  • May 2 & 3: Slight chance of rain or thundershowers at isolated spots.

Dr. Ahmad also warned of rising temperatures in the Jammu division and said some areas might experience heatwave conditions. He urged the public to stay safe and remain indoors during peak heat hours whenever possible.
