Travelers, take note! The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) will remain closed from today evening till Monday morning due to urgent repair work in the Ramban area. The road was damaged recently because of flash floods, and repair work is now being carried out to ensure public safety.
According to a statement shared with the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the District Magistrate of Ramban has given permission to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to widen and repair the damaged stretch of road.

Traffic between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel will be completely suspended from 8:00 AM Sunday (April 28) to 8:00 AM Monday (April 29).

After 5:00 PM today, no vehicle movement will be allowed:

From Qazigund towards Jammu.

From Udhampur towards Srinagar.

Drivers carrying fresh perishable items and livestock are advised to plan their loading and travel according to the highway closure timings.
